Committees are a great way to be involved in the planning of events that help promote the industry and your business. They also provide members with priceless networking opportunities. Committees are open to all PHBA Members. GREEN BUILDING COMMITTEE (GBC) PHBA's Green Building Committee was formed in June 2008. Our mission is To educate and promote resouce/energy-efficient, healthy and sustainable building. HOMEPAC HOMEPAC is PHBA's bi-partisan political action committee. Through HOMEPAC, we provide financial support to local candidates who support our industry and a sound business climate. The money we raise during the year goes directly to the candidates. Before each election, the HOMEPAC Board Members interview the candidates to decide whom to support. The greater level of support we are able to provide to pro-housing candidates, the more likely they will be elected. Rich Costello, AES Consulting Engineers is the chairman of this committee. LEGISLATIVE COMMITEE This committee stays abreast of local, state and national issues that affect the housing and building industry. They research proposed ordinances and work with government agencies to try to bring about change that is satisfactory to PHBA Members and the government. MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE This committee focuses on acquiring new members and retaining the existing membership.
